Introduction by Do Ha Thu
A window is not simply an object but a vital connection between the inner and external world. A window somehow creates a „safe boundary“ behind which every person finds the freedom to observe, imagine and reflect, without the limitations of space, time, or reality.
Through the eight short films of this project, I feel closer to the private worlds of the directors, as if we all opened our own windows to welcome people in, for them to stay and talk to us in silence.
The project’s concept removes a certain way of thinking about how we see the world. It is not through definite senses, but spans the different layers and depths of meaning through personal experience. I can feel the personalities of each filmmaker in these works; each film represents their world with its buried memories that touch my heart deeply. ______________________________________________________________________ Chapter 100- The window by Do Ha Thu and Nguyen Phuong Thao Chapter 100 –The window reflects the real experience of the two director’s life philosophy.
